Gina has previously worked as a Registered Dietitian in various settings, including outpatient hospital care, corporate wellness, and private nutrition coaching. Additionally, she has over a decade of experience in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, and fitness manager.
Open Door is a truly special place with an exemplary mission, of which Gina is proud to feel deeply connected to and be a part of. The WIC program embodies Open Door’s commitment to building strong, healthy communities by supporting families through the most impactful stages of life. Some of the most heartfelt, impactful moments that Gina has experienced at Open Door have been with the WIC program participants. Working in WIC is such a beautiful and rewarding way to serve the community and an essential need in the public health system.
Gina is an active member of the Westchester Rockland Dietetic Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is most passionate about lifestyle medicine, culinary nutrition education, and social justice issues. In her free time, she is likely in a park with her dogs, developing new recipes, training for her next triathlon, studying Spanish, or spending time with her family. She strives to be a positive influence in the lives of those around her and to maintain a strong mind, body, and spirit.
